Small Athletes, Big Dreams: Our Two Week Kidzp-lympic Spectacular

The Olympics, like other major sporting events, is something that never fails to bring people of all backgrounds together. At Kidzplay, we believe this sense of community and togetherness is hugely important in children’s development in their younger years.

There have been some amazing displays from so many athletes around the world during this Olympics, with Keely Hodgkinson bringing home the Gold Medal in the 800m among many other medals for Team GB!

So, over the last two weeks, we’ve been hosting our very own Kidzp-lympics event in our 3 play centres! We’ve embraced the spirit of the Olympics with a week-long series of exciting, themed activities that brought out the energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship in all our young participants. From obstacle courses that tested agility to archery to test their skill and precision, our little athletes showed incredible teamwork, perseverance, and joy in every event.

It was brilliant to see the kids have fun, make new friends, and take pride in their achievements. We are thrilled with how this Olympics-themed week not only provided fun and physical activity but also inspired a sense of community and camaraderie.

Overall, the event has been a huge success! We’ve seen over 7000 people over the course of the event, with hundreds of kids receiving Gold Medals for their efforts!

Events and activities like this where everyone can get involved and enjoy the fun together are what it’s all about for us, and we aim to host many more themed

activities in the future (we know it can be hard to keep coming up with ideas for kids’ entertainment, especially during the Summer Holidays!), so next up we have The Kidzplay Circus!

From 12th – 18th August, we will have circus-themed activities running throughout the day. We’ll have bean bag tossing, hula hoops, balancing ropes and many more. The sessions will be included in our regular entry price, and it looks like the beautiful sunshine we’ve had recently is going away next week, so come and keep dry with us!
